About
Ainslie’s artist bio and statement.
What does Vintage Karma mean?
Residing on the second floor of a 19th century building, the tattoo studio is nestled away from curious onlookers and distraction.
With this private studio atmosphere, Vintage Karma is definitely not a “street shop”. Designed to make the clients feel comfortable and relaxed – the studio resembles more a living room than your typical busy and crowded tattoo parlor.
The walls are covered with artwork and vintage medical charts as opposed to tattoo flash.
Ainslie has a solid reputation of providing creative custom tattoos in a sterile, private, relaxing and comfortable environment. She goes out of her way to make the tattooing process as pleasant as possible. Comforts include, a private tattooing room with DVD player for clients to watch movies while getting tattooed and a cd/ mp3 stereo system to play the music of the clients choice.
Vintage Karma uses hospital style sterilization, and single use needles. The studio is the ONLY Illinois State Licensed and Inspected facility in Douglas, County. Preventing cross-contamination is of the utmost importance and is taken very seriously here.
